PassTracker - The Basics of Logging In and Changing Passwords

Remembering passwords, case sensitivity, adding new users, relogging in.

Case sensitivity

You can enter your name with out capital letters, data entry is not case sensitive in the user name field.

i.e. douglas alder = Douglas Alder

Important Note: The password field is case sensitive.

Remembering Passwords

You can click the box to remember the password, if you feel it is secure and just want to auto log in. This is only recommended if you are the only person using your computer. Otherwise, it is recommended that you do not click this option and require login each time.

Changing Passwords

Or if you want to change passwords, simply click the button that says 'Change Password...' enter a new password.

Enter New Password Information

Enter your Old Password and then the New Password twice, then click OK. The new password will be in effect. Please remember to use strong passwords.

Adding New Users to the System

From Setup, Users Tab. Click the button that says 'Users'.

Click New

Enter New Account Information

Enter a new user name, a strong password and select the appropriate privilege set.

Re-Login

It is possible to switch users without quiting the database. Click the Re-login button and enter the new users name and password.
