This lesson discusses how to create batches of passes for handwritten data entry (name, expiry date).
There are two main ways to handle passes in PassTracker.
Batch Pass Printing - The simple, easy semi-manual way is to print batches of cards on Avery business card stock and then hand write the client's name on the card. Staff will pre-print batches of all the common passes. These passes are designed to be single use. That is, after a month or a year, they are thrown away and a new pass is issued.
Individual Card Printing - This option employs a plastic card printer and prints the client's information on each card. The card does not say what particular pass he/she has purchased, it just shows their name. This card can then be 'refilled' repeatedly with new pass purchases. This is done by entering the bar code number into the system when a new pass is purchased. This links the pass to the customer.
Even if the system is setup to generate Pass ID's automatically, it is still possible to print Batches of Passes.
Go to the 1) Setup Menu, 2) Products and Passes tab. Click the 3) Print Passes button.
A popup window will appear where you can sestup the batch of passes to print.
Enter the:
1) Number of Passes
2) Starting ID Number
3) Pass Name
4) Select the printing card stock.
5) Click the Print button.
Clicking the Print button will take you to the Print layout in preview mode. Review the bar code ID range and then click Continue. The print dialog box should come up, allowing you to print. Make sure you have the correct perferorated business card stock in the printer before clicking the final Print dialog button.
Click Print.
